    Krispy Kreme

I heard from the radio today saying that Krispy Kreme has opened a franchise in Narre Warren (where the fugg is it?). I ‘ll check it out in the Melway.
Anyway back to Krispy Kreme, apparently there was a massive traffic (choc-o- block) caused due to the grand opening of this donut joint o_O (wow! really?!) . I will send my food critic (DJ the chef of da house) to Krispy Kreme to check it …More updates soon.

    Mini’s Wallet

ACME Made: the wallet for ipod
Burfday pressie from MonkeyKing & KatsuDon…tQ for the lovely present!o_*My prediction is that there will be no more Ipod Mini casing available in the whole wide world by year 2007 (ha! I can be a fortune teller)…
Luckily Vince found the casing for me at his friend’s website which sell bags/casings for laptop, ipods and digital cameras.
I saw a laptop bag that I like from the ACME site. Too bad I don’t have a laptop but will this be a good excuse for me to buy a MacBook?

End of financial year review- the moment of truth~

Today I sat in the showroom with my GM & MD for my end of financial year performance review. Both big bosses are happy with my work performance. Yay!!! Well-done Junie…

Before having the review, I have told myself to stay calm and learn to accept the criticism from the big bosses which i intially did…

Surprisingly my MD says that I have a good sense of humor that always gives them something to laugh or giggle in the office.
I will be given more tasks on top of my current workload but I’m not complaining as I take it as an opportunity to learn more in order to improve my current work skills.

    The bonus (bonuses) …
I’ll be having Adobe Illustrator installed into my computer…
Managed to convince the bosses that we will save heaps of money if they are willing to let me handle both men and womenswear range book instead of getting out-source designer to just cut & paste the photos into the layout and typing in the descriptions...easy peasy… >_*

Extra pocket money for NZ trip
Since I have not been with the company for a full 12 months, therefore I won’t be getting any pay increment but I was given a bonus $$$$ as a token of appreciation… hey better than none and the bonus has just paid off for my snowboarding trip to Queenstown NZ.

Today is a not too bad day after all.

Would you wear this in Richmond?

Didn’t get to sleep till 4am on a Monday morning. This is torturing especially I have to get up at 7am to get ready to go to work. I hate Mondays!
I was up with DJ watching the Socceroos match with Brazil. Of cuz Brazil won but if the Socceroos win it will be a bonus for sure.

Is this workable? or should I just donate the skirt to St Vinny…

I was trying on this skirt which I’ve bought ages ago from a once off Club 21 sale in Malaysia . It was a good bargain for a Emporio Armani pleated skirt. Showed DJ about the whole idea of bottoms (pants and skirts) are now being worn high on the waist and accessorized it with a nice belt to actually show a nice silhouette of the skirt, body and top (like wearing a baby doll dress). He doesn’t get the idea at all. I asked him if he will go out with me if I dressed like this and he say “Erm not really… u looked pregnant”…it’s really hard to explain to him what sort of fashion statement I am trying to establish here but I know I shouldn’t waste my time asking him if this is nice or not… we have very different taste in fashion and never once we agree on something.

    Australia Vs Brazil

2am – a match that can’t be missed. Go Socceroos!!!
I’ll be going to work looking like a zombie…

Good Bye Mid 20s and Hello! Late 20s

    Date: 8th June 2006
    Venue:Belgium Beer Cafe Melbourne
    Recommended beer: Belle-Vue Kriek
Kriek is a style of lambic beer with the aroma, taste and colour of sour cherries, and a sweetness to charm even the most hesitant of female non-beer drinkers. Lambic beers undergo spontaneous fermentation with natural wild yeasts and are aged in oak barrels very similar to wine. Whilst in these barrels, macerated cherries are added to give it its distinctive colour and flavour. Alc. Vol. 5.1%

    Dress shopping- Part 1

Went to try on some wedding dresses over the weekend and found that it’s really expensive to get a made to measure wedding dress.
    First stop was Izaro.
Tried on 3 dresses and liked the first dress that I tried on.
The costing of the ‘Michelle’ dress was like $4K++ on wards.
Geez, that’s really expensive. For me la but I think other brides to be will think it’s a good investment.

Next stop Barbara Wilson @ Chapel St. The prices were not too bad for a made to measure wedding dress but the only thing is the designs are so boring.

Then we adjourn to Jenny Bannister and tried on the “Bliss” dress. Love it!
The best part of the dress is value for the money – the design details and fabrication. Ok this dress can KIV [Keep in View]

Then my next dilemma was what to wear on JL’s wedding.
I went to Bridge Road alone cause I didn’t want to bring DJ along shopping with me. I hate it when he purposely wait for me outside of the shop while I happily browse thru all the dresses.

GreenWithEnvy @ BridgeRoad is a good place to look for dresses.

There were a lot of beautiful dresses and I liked the Zimmerman polka dot dress that was retail at $500++ (can’t really remember the price).
It’s nice and sexy but don’t really fancy the colour purple tho.
I find that shopping for dresses is really hard especially for my size. I don’t have enough support around the chest area. Arrgghhh >_<

I ended up buying a Peter Lang waist/bust belt for the galaxy dress that I’ve bought a month ago from Cue which I still haven’t worn and not forgetting the black Zara bubble dress that I bought in Singapore 6 months ago. Tsk tsk tsk

    Evidence of impluse buying

I will probably go for another couple of weekends for my dress hunting to find the appropriate dress to wear on Joanne’s wedding.

    To be continue…

    Weekend Pigging Sessions

It’s friday and we have decided to try out this new sake bar Kura at Malthouse Lane.
I ordered nabe udon[a noodle dish with tempura prawn and the usuals.]
I only had a beer and a glass of umeshu not forgeting a glass of riesling as well before having dinner.

The host looks a bit funky for his age with the beatle’s hairstyle and dressing in a bootcut fade
denim jean with a scalloped embroided shirt.
He saw us taking photos of his place and ask us to blog about this restaurant.
    He’s a funny man…

On Saturday, we went to this Ishiya stone grill restaurant.

We shared an entree size oyster dish and had stonegrilled aged tenderloin steak.
I also had some umeshu and DJ had some sake.

By the end of the meal I was feeling very tipsy…hmm…and the munchies as well.

So we head down to Max Brenner for some desert.

I always have this craving for souffle and managed to convince DJ to go with me to have some chocolate fix..
