Went to try on some wedding dresses over the weekend and found that it’s really expensive to get a made to measure wedding dress.
First stop was Izaro.
Tried on 3 dresses and liked the first dress that I tried on.
The costing of the ‘Michelle’ dress was like $4K++ on wards.
Geez, that’s really expensive. For me la but I think other brides to be will think it’s a good investment.
Next stop Barbara Wilson @ Chapel St. The prices were not too bad for a made to measure wedding dress but the only thing is the designs are so boring.
Then we adjourn to Jenny Bannister and tried on the “Bliss” dress. Love it!
The best part of the dress is value for the money – the design details and fabrication. Ok this dress can KIV [Keep in View]
Then my next dilemma was what to wear on JL’s wedding.
I went to Bridge Road alone cause I didn’t want to bring DJ along shopping with me. I hate it when he purposely wait for me outside of the shop while I happily browse thru all the dresses.
GreenWithEnvy @ BridgeRoad is a good place to look for dresses.
There were a lot of beautiful dresses and I liked the Zimmerman polka dot dress that was retail at $500++ (can’t really remember the price).
It’s nice and sexy but don’t really fancy the colour purple tho.
I find that shopping for dresses is really hard especially for my size. I don’t have enough support around the chest area. Arrgghhh >_<
I ended up buying a Peter Lang waist/bust belt for the galaxy dress that I’ve bought a month ago from Cue which I still haven’t worn and not forgetting the black Zara bubble dress that I bought in Singapore 6 months ago. Tsk tsk tsk
Evidence of impluse buying
I will probably go for another couple of weekends for my dress hunting to find the appropriate dress to wear on Joanne’s wedding.
