    Fascinated?

    What’s a Fascinator?
A fascinator is a fashion accessory, more commonly worn by women, on the head or in the hair.

[1] While it is simply defined as a headscarf, it may be anything from a small hairpiece to a more complicated creation, but generally it is less substantial than a hat. It may be made from many materials, e.g. feathers or lace, and attaches to the head by varying means.
    Wikipedia encyclopedia

Went to BridgeRoad during my lunch break to check out if there’s any ‘headband’ fascinators as an alternative replacement. I am still having doubts on the fascinator that I bought over the weekend. I’m being fickle minded again.
No luck! There was hardly anything I can pick up at BridgeRoad except for a Mimco handbag but wait, I must not off set my mind again. I’m running out of time and there’s only 2 days left for me to hunt for it.

Please try not to laugh so loud at my poor illustrator & photoshop skills. :P

    the look for Derby Day

    Happy Birthday Tristan!

28thOct: Baloo Cafe, Russell Street Melbourne
    And also
    Happy Halloween

    Mad Weekend

SweetBambi had his big 3-0 celebration at Baloo Café. The café looks like it’s still under renovation Everything is like all over the shop but I think food the is good. Baloo serves Indian cuisine.

I like this painting; or maybe it’s just a printed image on canvas.

There’s a dress code for this birthday: A touch of oriental is required but Iriya said we don’t need to because we already look oriental.

Amicabella organized a murder mystery game and my character was Agent something Tiger Woods. Luckily I only need to say 3 lines in the script ,which is good because I tend to be very shy. :P

After dinner is karaoke session at Strike but we left Baloo late. Only left with half an hour to sing.
What about going to a (any) club? Ok come to think about it, the last time when I was in a club was on Good Friday that is 6 months ago. Yeah! Ok as I did mention before, clubbing in Melbourne is not cheap.

KL: cover charge + free drink.
Melb: cover charge with NO DRINK

MonkeyKing manged to get us into the guess list at f4 -$10.00 cover charge. Yup sounds good! It’sYourHouseSaturday night. It’s free entry from 3am till 5am by showing this pass. f4 still looks the same.

I think the design of the pass is damn ugly lor ,no offence but it’s true

The last time I was here for Meghan’s birthday…ermm… 2004. And this time I saw her again on her Hen’s Night. I was suppose to be at her hens night but because I’ve spent a little bit too much when I was in KL I decided to give it a skip. But we will be attending her wedding in 2 weeks time. Speaking of that, I still have not got her the wedding gift. I’ve left it too late and now what’s left in the wedding registry is

    a) 6 piece Wedgewood cups
    b) 6 piece Wedgewood saucers
    c) Dyson vacuum cleaner

If we were to get her 2 sets of the cup and saucer doesn’t make sense. Don’t think we can afford the vacuum cleaner.
Am sure I can get something she will like for her wedding by next week. *_* fingers crossed

Daylight saving has started. Still thinking if I should go to SummaDayze.

    taken with BurtonCyborg’s K800i

I bought the fascinator but I’m going to return it because i feel it’s kinda over priced for something like this and I’m only going to wear it once.
    Waaa..damn farn la. -_-

    Happy Birthday Rodney!

    Robot Bar, Melbourne

    Shopping for Derby day

I am glad the “work week” has ended as planned. I managed to update my production schedule as planned. Finally I’ve gone thru all my unread emails from the day I came back from my holidays.

We went to Robot for Rod’s birthday drinks. It’s been a while since we last been there for sakes but I was assigned to be the designated driver therefore I only had 2 glasses of Asahi. The last time I drove a manual car was 8 years ago. DJ nearly puked.

    Robot Bar, Melbourne

Yesterday we went to Chaddy for late night shopping. I’ve tried on hundreds of fascinators at Myer & DavidJones but none really fits me. I am astonished that a piece of fascinator can cost up to $500. Farkin hell… I rather spend the money on something that’s more feasible. i.e a Marc Jacobs wallet.
DJ insists I should buy a hat but I couldn’t find a hat that fits my tiny head. At first I was worried about what shoe should I wear with my Zara dress then out of no where I found 3 pairs of heels from my shoe collection that matches my dress – brand new. hahaha… I’m saved!

Tomorrow DJ will be working so I’ll head down to the city alone to hunt for a fascinator to wear on Derby day.

    Tomorrow’s shopping list:

    • Fascinator
    • Clutch (optional, maybe :P )

This whole week I’ll be wearing heels to loosen up my thigh and calf muscles so that I won’t suffer when standing the whole day at the races. I reckon it’s actually more like a “posing” day. I’m hopeless with heels but I have a fetish to stock em’ up for self satisfaction purposes- a new word taught by -ism – syiok sendiri (SS)

Smart arse and Gucci Melbourne sux

It’s been a horrible week for me at work.
Today both managers are in Hong Kong, which is good news to me because I get to do my work in peace. Manage to complete all outstanding work that was sitting in my in-tray since I went on A/L last month. The horrible part is to deal with not very nice people at work.

NotVeryNiceColleague: look I’ve just had my ear pierced
Me: oh really, that’s good. did you get it done at the pharmacy?
    NotVeryNiceColleague: yes.
Me: hey how much does it cost? [Out of curiosity mar]
NotVeryNiceColleague: Ermm about $20 something. But money is not an issue to me
Me: huh? Oh I know money is not an issue to you. I’m just curious how much it cost to get it pierce.

Is NotVeryNiceColleague afraid that I will look down on her cuz she paid $2+.00 for her ear pierced? Or is she trying to be a smart arse? wtf?! Blah.

I love the new revamp David Jones Bourke St. It gives a feeling of a miniature Takashimaya.

DJ was after a Gucci waist pouch because I was complaining that he should carry a man-bag since he has more stuff to carry than I do. We visited the Gucci shop at Collins St and guess what kind of treatment we got? This SA (Sales Associate) pretend to not see us in the shop until I have to stare straight at her cheebye face and said “Excuse me, would you be able to tell me the price of this pouch. Thank you”
Come on, not that her father owns Gucci; why does she have to give this type of attitude to a potential customer? I am actually VERY disappointed that this type of typical SA that can be found in Asia actually exist in Melbourne.

Listen Miss-stuck-up, you have lost a customer.
    Enuf of beefin. Period.

So far the customer service at Gucci S’pore is the best.

I’m in a crabby mood today.Thank you for your time and Good night.

    BurtonCyborg’s birthday

JC & BurtonCyborg before getting smashed by 30 year old Glenfiddich

Last Saturday we attended BurtonCyborg’s 30th birthday party at Number 3 for a full on cocktail party.
I’ve lost count on how many drinks I had. Damo made some of his special mix as well – tasted like one of Boost juice berry mix except with alcohol. Eve & I had few Cosmo mixed by Michelle which tasted too good to just have 1 and ended having few during the 1st hour the party started. :P
In the end I think I have mixed several different types of cocktail within the 4 hours duration. Not forgetting my all time favourite Chambord & lemonade.
DJ was so smashed and loud that made me come to realisation I have to sober up to look after him (again).

As expected, the birthday boy got very smashed and went to bed at 12 midnight after giving excuses of going to the bathroom to chuck wee *ahem*
It was a very good night and glad I didn’t woke up with a hangover.

    New facelift

We decided to have a quiet night on Friday because knowing us, we will be drinking heaps on BurtonCyborg’s 30th at Number 3 on Saturday. I took the initiative to study about style.css on my own with also a little bit of help from blogger’s help site. My eyes was so sore after staring at monitor for 6 hours.

Downloaded this new theme ,did some modification here and there and tah dah!

Welcome to my blog’s new facelift :)

    update soon on BurtonCyborg’s birthday.

    I’m bored

DJ said I spend too much time on the computer after coming home from work. He reckons I gave him only 10% of my attention, 40% on reading other people’s blog and 50% on my own blog. If it’s not about blogging then it’s CSI. Come to think of it before I started blogging, I spent 50% doing litteraly nothing and 50% knitting.
During autumn season, I will buy heaps of yarn to knit for the coming winter while DJ watches his stooopid sports program.
A friend of mine even called me an Aunty. Is knitting only for Aunties?
I’ve been a bit slack this winter. I only managed to knit 1 scarf and still have left over yarns sitting inside the knitting basket.
Maybe I should use the yarn to knit a scarf for JL so that she can wear it when she goes to Dalian to visit her in-laws during winter.

I put on my most sour face at work today. I don’t mean it but I have to otherwise I won’t get my work done. Being a newbie at work is frustrating and may lead to mental unstableness. Why can’t they let me do my work in peace?
Next month will be my full 1-year at TH Aus. I’m praying really hard to get a pay raise. If not I have to live with this skinny income for another year. boo hoo…

DJ & I went to Vo’s studio to discuss about our W photography package. I just noticed that Vo’s eye colour is actually hazel. I was amazed and DJ said “of cuz real la, u think like u ah, wear coloured contacts”
    -_-

Vo gave us a “friend friend package”. I decided to spend less on my W dress(s) and have a good photographer instead to take our W photos. The best thing is we get to keep our high res photos in DVD and a set of proofs all to ourselves. No studio watermarks too..

Tomorrow is exactly 1 year till our W day.

    I’m blessed

    Never Date a Cancer
Clingy, emotional, and very private – it’s hard to escape a Cancer’s clutches.
And while Cancer will want to know everything about you, they’re anything but open in return.
Instead try dating: Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, or Aquarius

    What Sign Shouldn’t You Date?

Luckily I’m getting married to a Sagitaurius. phew… ;) [relief]. so meaning we are really meant to be together after all. LOL.
I’ve dated 3 cancerians and the last one was unbelievable heart breaking.
