    Love handles everything

I was late for work again. Got up at 7.20am and was still half asleep. I stood in front of the wardrobe trying to figure out what to wear. It took me 20 minutes to get dress for work.
It’s almost Summer. I tried on some bathers at Roxy yesterday. I could not believe how much lard I have accumulated over the past six months of cold weather. I felt sick looking at myself in the mirrors. Eeikks stretch marks; Damn it! Now I have to spend more money on firming/toning creams. I don’t get it; I walk to work 5 days a week and consider I have done “some” exercise. Great! now I have less than 4 weeks to get rid of the muffin top.

Today everyone in the office is grumpy and cranky especially IAmAlwaysRite. I know you’re pissed but you’re not willing to deal with it, so live with it then. No point showing your sour face and slamming all filling cabinets. I think it’s a nuisance. I know there are times we whine a lot about work but I have learned from experience and decided to tackle the issue instead.

Finished 2 balls of yarn for JL’s pressie but I don’t think I can finish it on time for next week besides it takes at least a week to arrive to S’pore. Oh well, at least I know I can still make it in time for Christmas.

    30 days till Christmas

We woke up early today to get our regular errands done. Did our weekly grocery shopping at BoxHill. I was craving for some roti at Kayu’s but they were not open till 11.30am. So we went to have HK style breakfast instead. We ordered “sampan”congee, steam prawn vermicelli roll [fun cheong fun] and steam turnip cake. Come to think of it, the breakfast was indeed very starchy.

After we drop our groceries back at home, we head down to the city to do some Christmas shopping. Can you believe it’s almost the end of the year? It’s exactly a month till Christmas. This year’s Christmas, we will be joining MonkeyKing & KatsuDon on a road trip to Sydney. Yay!

I like shopping at CountryRoad during Christmas time. As a CR cardholder, we have the privilege to enjoy Free Gift Wrapping service.

I got myself a RacerHenley set for $59.95. What a bargain.

I like the idea of using felt bags as another alternative wrapping method. Besides the bag can be re-used as a shoe bag to protect shoe(s) from getting scratched :)

    Happy Shopping! Hohoho

    Dinner date with DJ

I wished DJ happy birthday and gave him a BIG HUG before he left for work.

Left work at 5.10pm and hurried home to get some rest before the dinner at Pacific House with TheGang.

This is an invite I did for DJ’s birthday. Got the image from GoogleImage and did some modification.

    S’pore style chilli mudcrab

We ordered Singapore style chilli mudcrab with egg noodle base as a starter. I remembered the last time I ate crabs was during my Dec holidays in Malaysia. My dad took me on crab eating marathon – I had crabs for 3 days in a row.
DragonMaster just found out that he was allergic to crabs. Poor guy, he usually eats anything and everything especially spare parts.

I was too busy eating therfore I didn’t took any photos of the other dishes but I still remembered what we had. I ordered 8 dishes for 8 people. I guess I’ve over ordered. :P

steamed oyster with mince garlic & XO sauce
    steamed barramundi
stir fry pippies with XO sauce
snowpea Sprout with 3 treasure egg sauce
wild mushrooms & asparagus with dry scallop sauce
    roast duck
    soya sauce chicken

This is DJ before he passed out at MonkeyKing’s aparment. He was fine until the cab ride that made him felt sick.

I’ve told him 101 times but he just won’t listen!
mixing wine, bubbly and sake is BAD!

The birthday boy passed out before midnight -_-
Happy Birthday DJ and hope you had a wonderful time.

    Happy Birthday DJ!
Yay! DJ is 21 again! :P

    Itchy hands

Today was a good day for me at work. Everyone was busy attending meetings which means I can get heaps of work done but I didn’t.

    I’m actually very tired

During lunchtime, I quickly gobble up my lunch and hurried out to BridgeRoad for some retail addiction fix.
Went to CountryRoad warehouse but there was nothing much to see except for a pair of shoe I’ve been eyeing on for a while. I regret for not buying it when it was on sale 40% off the reduced price.

Next Mimco – absolutely nothing. Still the same stuffs from last 2 weeks. Bugger.

YES I just want to buy something, anything.

I looked at my watch and I have 20 minutes left till I return to the office.
Last stop SportsGirl. Voila! The Gladiator sandal that I saw last week in the city store was reduced!
YES I’m being cheeky… I’ve fixed my addiction.

Now… DJ doesn’t know about it but eventually he will.

    Open sesame

DJ reckons I’m being silly again for cursing the weather.
Last Wednesday it hailed, rained and snowed. Since Sunday till today the average temperature was 35 degrees.

Don’t you think Melbourne weather is very unpredictable?

IT TOOK ME FARKING 10 MINUTES TO OPEN THE DOOR!

At first I didn’t know what happened to my apartment door. I thought the door lock has kaput until my neighbour came out telling me the door has expanded due to the heat and it took her 10 minutes to open hers as well. nia seng! And because I was impatient trying to open the door, I drop my mobile on the ground. -_-

La Dolce Vita – King Valley

The weather was really good on Sunday. We drove up to King Valley that is 3.5 hours from Melbourne for the Italian food and wine festival -La Dolce Vita.

We borrowed BurtonCyborg’s Nikon D70 for the day. We are in considering of buying a digital SLR camera because DJ reckons since I’m now into blogging, it would be better to have a proper camera instead of using an automatic digital camera. But I am also tempted to buy the new Sony T50 with all latest functions that my current T33 does not have. Neways I think I shouldn’t be fussy and picky because he is paying for the SLR…Yay! Iriya suggested we should get a D40 instead since I’ll be using it most of the time besides the body of the D40 is smaller than the rest of the Nikon models. DJ is convinced now and we will probably check out the camera in S’pore.

Okay back to the day trip at King Valley.

Our first stop was Christmont winery.
To taste the wines we have to purchase a wine glass [very good marketing strategy]. The glasses didn’t cost us a lot and we can use it again at other wineries around King Valley. We didn’t buy any wines but it was fun trying different types of wine that we don’t get to buy in Dan Murphy.
The lunch menu at Christmont wasn’t that great.
Antipasto platter- doesn’t look too appealing when it’s served in a plastic plate
Risotto- I think M’sian style “mun fan” looks better than it.
Burger with the lot – so far this is the only one that looks edible.

Later we adjourned to Pizzini for more wine tasting.

I fell in love with the new release 2006 Brachetto a traditional desert wine originate from Piedmont in north Italy. It was a perfect wine for spring or summers afternoon.
Pizzini had a gnocchi festival. I’m not a huge fan of gnocchi so I decided to give it a skip. I wasn’t too satisfied with the lunch I had.

    Last stop Brown Brothers.
Upon entering the winery estate, we were given a glass each to taste a new bubbly named Zibibbo. This bubbly has a light straw colour and lifted aromas of passion fruit and melon. The after taste is very fruity and sweet. I like it.

One thing good about BrownBrother estate is, there’s free supply H20. How good is that? :D

We stopped by Wangarrata for dinner at LaPochetta. Finally I get to eat pasta. I was disappointed that none of the wineries served pasta especially it’s Eat Italy, Drink Italy day.

I didn’t fall asleep during our journey home to keep DJ accompany.

    Farewell to kaixinblablabla.blogspot.com

My dearest blog kaki KX has decided not to blog anymore.

She wrote a post to express her frustration on her ExBoyfriend but somehow an Anonymous posted a nasty comment on her last post that was extremely disturbing. She deleted her entire blog because she was angry.

    Dear Anonymous,

You’re such a coward for not revealing yourself and leaving nasty comments on people’s blog. No wonder you’re a Loser!

    A better tomorrow.

Last Thursday I had chat with the MD & GM about work.
I took this opportunity to voiced out my frustration about my current workload to my MD & GM. Maybe it’s because they sense that I might explode one day and leave. It’s all good now. At least they know what is it that frustrates me most on my job and there will be some restructuring in the TH business with a better focus in my role.
I always tell myself that there will always be a better tomorrow.
