Good bye to Summer and Hello to Autumn.

My favourite season of the year has arrived.

I wish the temperature would drop at least min 10 degrees so that I can dig out my new autumn/winter clothes that I claimed from work.
At the moment all the new goodies are all squashed up in my tiny wardrobe which I share with DJ and he’s not happy because I’m starting to take over his space :P .

Why am I excited that summer is over? Remember the sunburn from Portsea? Sigh.
I’m still struggling to get rid of the sunburn mark on my back. Might need to go under the sun again to even out the racerback bit. Mom will not be happy to see what I’ve done to my back.

Yesterday nite we watched episode 17 of Heroes and guess what happend!

    .

    .

    .

    .

    .
I cried. It was so sad. DJ’s expression –> o_O” wtf???

Currently hunting for a light weight trench coat and saw this from DavidJones’s autumn/winter items2 catalog. I wonder if it comes in size 6

This week has been very mundane.
I need some sort of motivation. Maybe a pay raise would help motivate me.

Neways I’m going home soon. Hooray! Exactly 1 month to be precise.

    it’s monday and I’m cranky

Hoooorayyy… fellow bloggers are back from their CNY break. Last week was the most boring week for me. I was the only one online & blogging.  Tomorrow night NBC is showing episode 17 of Heroes thus DJ will start d/l after that. Can’t wait… I’m hooked. It was supposed to be Heroes night @ 57 last Saturday but few of the heroes fell asleep during the first 2 episodes.

    {{{{(>_<)}}}}

Today is one of those days where it took me 45 minutes to figure out what to wear to work. I ended up wearing this old top that is too small for me. Yes, I’m supposed to go on a diet 2 months ago but I procrastinated.

    Pot Luck @ 57

We were at Damo’s place yesterday for pot luck and lo hei
DJ & I was craving for yee sang. Not all chinese restaurant in Melbourne serves yee sang and it is only available from the 7th day of CNY.
Back in KL, we have yee sang even before CNY. My dad’s a business man therefore he likes to lo hei as many times as possible to bring good luck to his business.
The last time I had yee sang was with my family 3 years ago. I miss the lo hei atmosphere with my family.
Thanx to Damo’s dad -Mr. Sim, he made the yee sang for us all to lo hei.

    Mr.Sim’s version of yee sang.

Look -Evidence: Tu’s cooking and Damo giving him a good bitch slap on his bum

Tu’s mom made the original homemade pho without msg.
Tasted very different from the usual pho we have at the vietnamese restaurants.

Lastly, the center of attention – Ourdi… AaawwwW…Isn’t he cute. He tends to have this excessive licking habbit.

    Flats

Was supposed to collect my flight tickets but the travel agent was jam packed with people queing for flight bookings and enquiries. I didn’t want to waste time waiting so I left and went window shopping instead.
I should have just waited for my turn at FlightCentre

Tried on this pair of ballet flats from Witchery ’s Autumn/Winter range and immediately fell in love with it.

    Angelina Classic Ballet RRP:$129.00

The devil  side of me said it is a good buy [again].
At the moment it’s on layby. In 4 weeks time I’ll be the proud owners of this lil cutesy flat.

Another pair that I have listed in my to-buy list in KL is from the Luxury range by Lewre

    luxury2.jpg

    I’m hopeless…

Suppose to practice walking on heels before the wedding so that I don’t trip/fall flat on my face but I just could not resist on not buying these ballet flats. Plus, I REALLY do need comfy walking shoes for work. Is this reason good enuf to justify my purchase?

    Wedding-ism

Another 24 working days till I go back to KL. I am so excited.

Next weekend is Noelle’s hens followed by the week after will be my pre hens at FMF. We are going to meet up in the city to do some shopping for FMF before going to Noelle’s. I reckon it’s going to be another crazy night with the girls.

I’ve got less than 8 months to prepare for my wedding. Luckily I’ve got all the important things done from my last KL trip. This time we are going back to get both parents to meet again to finalise what they have left not discuss from the previous met up which was 12 months ago. During the 1st meeting both of our parents did was just hehe haha. Not a single word about wedding planning. Arrggh! After 3 months, I got bombarded from my mom with various questions on why this n’ that not done. I was stuck in the middle between DJ [who's totally oblivious when it comes to weddings] and my mom.

The first thing I did when I went back to KL last Oct was to book the reception venue. Coincidentally another couple was also after the same date as us so I quickly placed a deposit to secure the venue. It was a very kiasu action that I can’t avoid.

Every bride-to-be will want to splurge on their ideal wedding dress but I decided to splurge on our wedding photos instead. Besides the photographs’ life span will last longer than the dress. It’s all about digital.

I’m getting my dress made by this dressmaker which was recommended by my aunt. So for this coming holiday, it will be my first and final fitting with the dressmaker because I’m bringing the dress back to Melbourne for our ROM and photo-taking session.

Next in the to-do list are:
    FLOWERS-
ElleAshley recommended AsYouLikeItFlowers in Sri Hartamas where she got her flowers from for her wedding. Prices: Reasonable – I like it.
Thanx for the recommendation ;) . Will try to find my way to get to SriHartamas. My sense of directions is not that good anymore. I only know how to go to KLCC and SgWang from my home.
    MAKEUP Artist-
Couple of friends recommended some make up artist to me. Before I go back I’ll call up to make appointments with the artists for trial session and decide from there.
    BAND HIRE -
I’ll leave this to my parents to decide. Besides they are the biggest share holder in the wedding.

DJ will arrive a week later and I will meet up with him at his parents place. We are going to Singapore to shop for our wedding bands. We boycotted Bvlgari KLCC because the last time when we were there, the Store Manager was so rude to us therefore we decided to not give any business to her muthafucking shop. Not that she owns the shop.

We are getting our invitation cards printed from TheWeddingCardShop. I didn’t want to spend a lot on the cards knowing that it will end up in the bin after the wedding therefore I choose an existing template and did minor modification to save on cost. The design of the card is very simple and it matches the wedding theme… typical Chinese wedding – Cream, bronze & gold with maroon as the highlights. I hope see the mock up of the card soon.

    Now…What else is missing?
Will update later if something pops out from my mind.

    Going to bed now.

    Good night

    Intoxicated

Bring on the sake means bring chucky out!

DJ and I outside Village before he turned into Chucky #2

Ladies and Gentlemen: please make mental note that sake is to be only drink on its own. It is highly recommended to not MIX with other forms of alcohol i.e: Wine [red & white] & beers.

Yesterday was the 1st day of Chinese New Year. We had yum cha with the usual suspects in the city. There was lion dance performance inside the restaurant when we got there. I miss celebrating CNY with my family. This is my 3rd year away from home. I miss collecting angpow, having to do nothing and happily munching away with all the yummy snacks. How good is that…

The lions were french kissing infront of the kids. how rude! :P

Sunny hot day at Chinatown with Daniel & Michele.

The B&G girls. Missing in pic- KatsuDon.

After brunch, we went to Transport to hide away from the evil sun. It was a SUPER hot day and to cool it off we had beers and evil sakes [Yauie’s idea]. DJ obviously intended to get drunk and I’m not surprised at all… >_<

    Evil sake.

Then we decided to buy takeaway KFC and have it at EL but upon arriving, Yauie then remembered that she left her keys in the car. Everyone was too buggered to walk back to the car because of the heat. So we ate our 18pcs of wicked wings outside of EL like the homeless people we see hanging out at St Paul’s cathedral.

I hailed for taxi on Queens St and got kicked out at Elizabeth St because DJ had his head out of the window chucking!!! Arrghh…after we got off from the taxi, he chuck on the street. He was like a chucking machine. When he got home he chuck again till he passed out.
“chuck chuck here, chuck chuck there, everywhere chuck chuck” *sing it with the Old McDonald tune*
I have to say it was a great day after all apart from eating KFC in front of EL and DJ transformed to Chucky # 2 [# 1 is in Japan].

Care to share your CNY celebration with me?

    Singles but sexy dinner

    Valentine’s Day dinner – 14th Feb.

DJ & I trashed the “singles but sexy” dinner at Lucky Coq for $4 pizza & beers.
Everyone chipped in $10 and ordered 8 pizzas with heaps of beers.
    luckycoq.jpg
I have to say it was a fun night. After dinner we adjourned to Social Bar at Windsor for coffees.
Thanks for the lovely night guys. Love you all ;)

    Piggy Year

I’ve got so much sh*t to blog but so little time.

Bought myself a new top for CNY. I wasn’t planning to but I just can’t forgive myself if I don’t buy at least something new to wear.

We planned to cook a nice banquet reunion dinner at home but DJ lost his wallet yesterday. He reckons he drop it somewhere in South Melb. Bugger-
The dinner will be postponed till next weekend.
KatsuDon, MonkeyKing & BurtonCyborg left this morning to Japan for some powder boarding. How I wish I was going with them. It would be nice to be away from this horrible weather.
On Sunday, we’re meeting up with the usual suspects for yum cha in the city and it’s going to be a very hot day again – 38 degrees. I hope I don’t get sunstroke from walking outside.

Can’t believe tomorrow’s Chinese New Year. Hooray!
Finally this year CNY falls on Sunday meaning I don’t need to be at work.

Signing off now. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a
Happy & Prosperous Piggy New Year
Don’t forget to eat heaps of yummy snacks on my behalf and I don’t mind if you want to share your angpows with me… hehehe :P

    V day

    heart-tc.jpg
    I heart T&C

I’ve been blogging for almost a year but I don’t have anything special to blog about V day… This year we decided to have a quiet one.Besides it’s going to cost us a bomb if we were to go out for candle light dinners on this money sucker day.

I think everyday is V’s day except for the occasionally “I hate YOU” days

Received a V’s day card from SK on Monday. So sweet of her :) Thx babe…

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY everyone.

    Big Hugs & Kisses

    *Update*
Today I received JL V’s day card! Thx for the lovely card ;)

    Bag lady

Has anyone ever owned an “Illegal Immigrant” bag before? I think 10 out of 6 people in Melbourne owns at least 1 of this bag. Even I have one. I bought mine when I was in Sydney 4 years ago because I didn’t expect that I ran out of space after shopping for Pucca & Garu plush toys and merchandise. Now I only use this bag whenever we move apartments or just for storage purposes. I paid AUD$6 for this bag. Until today the bag is still in good condition.
    This is really bizarre!
LV lovers, here’s an expensive version of the illegal immigrant bag that was carried by the LV models.

    East West Tati Bag, RRP$3700
    Source: Vogue Australia March issue.

Who the hell will spend $3700 on this bag? Farking hell, has LV design room ran out of ideas?
Last 2 summers ago, I saw a Mimco version with sequined handles retailed for AUD$99.00 but after a month, the bag was sold in the outlet store for AUD$29.00.
I don’t get it. Why must designers attempt to have their own version of illegal immigrant bags? I’d still prefer the good ol’ original bag from the chinese shop that is sold for less than AUDD$10.

    The Devil said it’s a good buy…

New addition to the family, Bustier Circle Mimco bag for CNY… :P

Also the eyeliner I purchased online last week arrived this morning.
