Last friday, DJ had the cravings for steak. So I flick thru the entertainment book and suggested Saucier @ High St Armadale.
Dinning in the “burbs” [suburbs] on Friday evening is actually very relaxing and also it is less crowded compared to the city.
Saucier servers modern European cuisine.

Asparagus Espresso. Just like a coffee, frothy at the top and lots of flavour at the bottom.
This is a complementary starter from the chef.

Coffin Bay oyster with champange sorbet & diced watermelon.
We didn’t really like this entree. It tasted kind of weird because of the sweatness from the watermelon.
Pretty dissapointing especially when its $4 a pop!

Veal caparcio with diced pear.
I give thumbs up for this entree. The diced pear actually worked well with the veal. Very interesting combination.

Cozy dinning area at the front. It was not a busy night and the waiting staffs were friendly and the services was not bad.

The bar. DJ was mucking around with the camera.

I ordered the Roasted Angus beef, red onion jam, parsley suberic and spinach for my main.
This roasted beef is a bit dry for my liking or maybe this is how angus beef is like ‘DRY’!

DJ’s main is wild boar with nectarines & pear salad. I tried a tiny piece of the wild boar. It tasted orite. I’m not a fan of pork. No comment.
Funny tho… DJ was the one who had the cravings for steak and instead I am the one having it.
I rate : 2.5/5
Overall the chef uses a lot of fruits on his dishes. I still prefer my meal to be on the savoury side.
woman, the oyster and the carpacio look absolutely GORGEOUS! it makes the ham sandwich i just had look pale in comparison lor…..
=)
the carpacio is a must try but i won’t recommend the oysters… somehow fresh oysters taste the best with lemon juice or tabasco sauce…
The presentation is indeed very GORGEOUS…;)
