    Finally…

Good news! The apartment we applied yesterday has been approved. I’m feeling all relief now except for the stupid flu bug that got me at the wrong time.
It was another inspection saga with 20-30 applicants. I tell you renting a property in Melbourne is tough. I decided to save time and offered more than what was advertised.
Tomorrow DJ will be heading to the real estate agent to sign the lease contract. We’re hoping to move in by Sept 11th. Hoooray!!!

Can’t wait to bake my own macarons at the new apartment!!- erm… DJ, I might need your help

Insomia or maybe I’m just excited

in 3 hours time, we will embark our journey to Mt Buller.

Yes I know I’m not suppose to do any boarding incase I hurt myself *touch wood* but I have to accomplish my mission which I have set in VirtualBoarder since last year.

I need to practice my craving before I hit the slopes in Japan. Which reminds me I need to get my Japan visa sorted soon.

The teh tarik I had during dinner at Chilli Padi was kinda strong. Maybe that’s why I’m still wide awake.

I want to so want to sleep but I can’t. Bugger.

    Bimbo-rella and me at EL.

Come step on my pissy tail…

    I promise I won’t bite you.

Today I’m in my happiest mood.

Nothing can really trigger me to fire up or be bitchy after I received a notification letter from our agent to inform us to vacate our rental property by 27th Oct because the landlord will move into the property [she’s probably struggling with her mortgage since the raise of the interest rate]

Mind you we will be away during that time for the wedding.

Isn’t this just wonderful? Everything just bombards us at one time like how Hiroshima got bombed?

Not forgetting DJ’s mom will be coming to Melbourne with her friend on 15th Sept till the end of the month.

So basically I’m left with 3 weeks or less to move out.

Damn it, I need a drink. I need a glass of gin and tonic to sober myself up.

    Parcel from NY

This morning while I was brushing my teeth, someone buzz the intercom [actually it functions more like a door bell. The intercom is broken] impatiently for THREE times!

Me as usual was cranky [sorry me not a morning person] thinking who the hell could it be buzzing the blardy intercom. So I quickly ran down stairs in my pjs to check out the moron. As I opened the door it was the mailman with a parcel. Then I saw this familiar handwriting on the airway bill.

The parcel was from Wen, my primary school friend who’s now residing in beautiful New York.

When I opened the parcel, I saw this….
    TA-DA

Wen got us a pair of cut crystal champagne flute for our wedding.

    Dearest Wen,
Thank you for the beautiful gift. I like it a lot
p/s: DJ didn’t play his ninja role well. I ended up being the ninja…hahaha….
    Love,

    Old Kingdom

This restaurant is famous for its Peking duck in Melbourne.

BurtonCyborg might be right; the owner may have sold his business. No more “old man” carving the roast duck in front of us except for this dude.

    DSC06931_OldKingdom.jpg

He told me that he will charge me for copy right for taking his photo.

Oh well I guess this place will not be my first option anymore since the duck price has increased to $50 per duck!

Stupid inflation. Even the duck also so expensive.

    DSC06940_OldKingdom.jpg

Everything was still the same -just enough crepes, spring onion and cucumber for you to F.Y.O [fold your own] peking duck.

The left over meat will then be cook into 2 dishes – stir fry bean shoot with duck meat and salted mustard soup cook in duck broth.

    FYI- I HATE Mondays

Last week was an emo week for me. Everything seems to be all over the shop.

Anyway I hope this week will be a bit better.

    I received an email from concern-work-colleague .

The subject of the email: Read this before marry [Wtf?!?!?]

The top 10 Lies and the Top 10 Truths about marriage, by Dr Robin Smith, author of Lies at the Altar: The Truth about Great Marriages:

Lie: Marriage is an automatic ticket to self-esteem.
Truth: You have to be whole before you can be joined.

Lie: You have to go along to get along.
Truth: In a great marriage, you can ask for what you need without fear of reprisals.

Lie: If the package is beautifully wrapped, its contents will be fabulous.
Truth: The packaging doesn’t tell you anything about what’s inside.

    Lie: The past is over.
Truth: The past is driving you to the chapel.

Lie: Anything is better than being alone.
Truth: Being alone and free is better than being together and controlled.

Lie: It’s important to be right.
Truth: It’s more important to relate.

Lie: You can learn to live with compromises that trouble your soul and make you suffer.
    Truth: Suffering is not love.

Lie: “It’s you and me against the world.”
Truth: You can’t have a great marriage if you live in a bunker.

Lie: If you believe in the same God, you’ll share the same values.
Truth: Values are what you live, not what you believe.

Lie: Marriage magically changes people for the better.
Truth: The person at the altar will be the person at the breakfast table.

Ok the email content was not a bad thing to read but it’s just the comment that was given by concern-work-colleague

“So, you read the email I sent? Have you realized it before its too late?” and she walked off….

    Huh? 8-O WTF is this?

What was that suppose to mean?

Mind you this is not the first time she passes on some so called GOOD ADVICE to me.

Deisy, does this person sound like the people you have to deal with everyday… you know what I mean…

 To the boys & girls in Sheep Land,
We were out yesterday night for drinks at EL. It was really quiet without you guys. Had a couple of chilli infused vodka shots. It was kind of spicy- well to me it is. I went home with a massive headache and passed out in front of the telly.

Miss you all and see you guys soon…

    Hugs,
    Junie.

    Craving for macarons

    OMG! It’s friday. I’m so happiiiieeeeee….

Somehow I feel like having macarons for dinner tonight.
    Happy Friday everyone.

My migraine triggers when I think of my future

    and it sucks…

I’m not an expert with financial and economics craps stuffs but recently the interest rate for home buyers has increased and it’s the 9th time in 5 years. A bit ridiculous- I think.

Was telling DJ that the ideal deposit which I would like to have for the home is $40K. Meaning each of us will have to fork out around $1.5K from our pay every month to put as side into our joint savings account. Hmm… it will work if we are highly paid professions but we are not so I think its blardy IMPOSSSIBLE lor!! ; Especially when we have to pay rent, car loan and utility bills. Seriously if I want to keep to this plan my life will be totally disconnected to the outside world because we’ll probably be hiding ourselves in our hideous tiny apartment that we’re currently renting just to save that $40K. No more holidays, shopping, eating out, after work drinks and the list goes on.

At times it makes me think if I should just pack my bags and move back to KL for the sake of “I want to enjoy my life!!”

Anyway the more I think about it my migraine starts to attack me rapidly like a tattoo needle poking on my forehead. I SO want to bang my head against the wall.
