This restaurant is famous for its Peking duck in Melbourne.
BurtonCyborg might be right; the owner may have sold his business. No more “old man” carving the roast duck in front of us except for this dude.

He told me that he will charge me for copy right for taking his photo.
Oh well I guess this place will not be my first option anymore since the duck price has increased to $50 per duck!
Stupid inflation. Even the duck also so expensive.

Everything was still the same -just enough crepes, spring onion and cucumber for you to F.Y.O [fold your own] peking duck.
The left over meat will then be cook into 2 dishes – stir fry bean shoot with duck meat and salted mustard soup cook in duck broth.

There’s a peking duck in Balwyn North which is better but I don’t remember the name and address. Haven’t been there for more than 2 years now. I’ll ask some friends and let you know.
Over here, the peking duck, is selling at 198 or 218 RMB…
I like to eat the “pei” (like the popiah skin leh) more than the duck itself. hahaha… yum yum.
Lynn-
I think I’ve been to that restaurant in Balwyn North. Not bad but I can’t remember what is it called.
Deisy-
Alot of ppl enjoy the skin but I’m the other way round. I only eat KFC fried chicken skin…hehehe
i not talking about the duck skin leh… i talking about the side dish like popiah skin, the one you take and roll inside the duck meat leh… nice taste
I was at Old Kingdom last night. They’ve not changed their management. Same people but the boss wasn’t serving. The son was. Maybe he’s on holiday or had retired. But I still didn’t enjoy their peking duck. I like the traditional peking duck with skin only and not big chunks of meat attached.
