    With Love

    from Kuala Lumpur

I love Emirates. The service was good- WITH A SMILE unlike MAS. The flight to Singapore was a bit bumpy but overal it was a pleasure flight. I got 3 seats all to myself. It has been awhile since I get to lie down to sleep in the plane.

Came accross a signage at this shop in the duty free area in Melb airport “Pre flight express manicure” *Beams* Sounds like a good idea since I had 1.5 hours till boarding. The express manicure cost $20 for 15 minutes. Not bad hor but it turned out to be a nightmare.
I got the fugliest manicure in my entire life. The so called “manicurist” which she’s not had to repaint my nails 3 times and it was still FUGLY. Imagine this – a 5 year old trying to paint your nail. Get it?
I ended up buying a bottle of nail polish remover at the news agency and nail polish from MAC. I could have just donated the $20 to the charity box. -_-

Anyway it’s good to be back home again. Love the humid weather. Had dinner with my parent and ordered my favourite dish- bamboo lala in kam heong style. Yummy.

This weekend’s agenda – Armin Van Buuren, Zouk.

    On leave

    I’m excited!

I will try to find time to blog, if not see you all in 4 weeks time.

    Wabi Sabi

Caught up with Eve, Missy and Jeannie for dinner at Wabi Sabi last Friday.

Wabi Sabi is a salon concept restaurant which makes diners feel they have entered Japan yet in a casual welcoming Australian ambience. To me this restaurant resembles Robot bar in the city.

You’ll know if the restaurant is authentic when the waiting staffs and the kitchen helper are Japanese.

This Japanese joint serves Japanese fusion cuisine at a reasonable price.

We ordered 3 entrees, a salad and 2 mains to share among each other.

Must try is the chicken wrap with asparagus. We were given a sauce that tasted similar to the dressing used for potato salad and a thick sweet sauce used in okonomiyaki.

Sorry no comment on the squid. Not a huge fan of tentacle sea creatures. Apparently it tasted yummy… I think.

I also tried their special drinks on the board – Black Sugar Plum Wine and Eve had a shoju soda with grapefruit.

I like the way how the shoju is served with half a grapefruit.

Something new to me – homemade seaweed paste on rice. It actually tasted not bad.

    Updates

    Thank you for your patience.
I’m back but will be leaving in a week’s time. I hope I’ll have time to blog but usually when I’m in KL I tend to make full use of my time hanging out at shopping malls. Found out 2 new shopping mall has just opened.

MIL and Aunt Pauline have gone back to JB last Friday.

There are heaps to be unpacked and pack within these few days. The house is in a mess and I kind of forgotten where my things are that I need to bring back to KL.

DJ is oredi on his holiday mood but he still has another 1.5 weeks to go. Hahaha…

My train experience for the past 2 weeks was hell.
Thanked gawd I’ve got my ipod with me. Plus school holidays have started therefore there are no st Kevin’s college school boys on the train. Yay!! At least I don’t have to worry that 1 day I might trip over their school bags which are usually left lying on the ground.
2 days ago, I was busy talking on the phone with Lynn and I accidentally caught an express train which I ended up getting home almost an hour later. Yesterday the train was packed like sardines in a can and I managed to use my snowboarding skills to balance myself on a moving train. *please don’t try to imagine*

Mental note: LK’s peep toe shoe and Rat’s sneaker freaker mag.
