Look what we found during the weekend.

An authentic Malaysian eatery.
Ampang is a district in Kuala Lumpur and it is particularly famous for yong tau foo.
The owner of Ampang Tofu also owns Grand Tofu in Glen Waverly. We usually go to Grand Tofu when we have serious cravings for Malaysian hawker food.
This time I didn’t order the yong tau foo instead I tried their “today’s special’ – Assam Laksa.
To my surprise it actually tasted much better than Madam Kwans’.

Absolutely love the shui gow dumpling. The filling of the dumpling consist prawn meat and bamboo shoot. Ah…finally I get to enjoy dumplings without pork meat. I don’t even get this in Malaysia.
Now I know where to go if I’m craving for Assam Laksa

Is the assam laksa in Laksa King part of their regular menu?
I haven’t been to Laksa King for ages. The last time I was there was like 4 years ago.
