    Missy’s birthday

    Missys.jpg
Melbourne Hwaro’s kimchi and their special beef soup (only available in winter) are still the best! I kept harrasing asking the waiter to top up my kimchi bowl.

Me: “excuse me, can I please have another serve of kimchi?”
Korean waiter: “erm.. *pointing at the bowl of kimchi* but…”
Me: “Don’t worry by the time you come back this will be finished. Thanks

Dinner catch up with the usual suspects are always fun.

    What a week.

Currently enjoying work so much that I actually woke up at 6.30am this morning and arrived at work just before 8am. The managers are in Amsterdam for the Spring09 line opening and we are left alone to guard the fort. Although my manager has given me heaps load of work to do on top of my existing work, I actually felt very happy to do it without whining. Maybe it’s because I know if I work harder (which I am always), my dreams may come true without me realising it.

Last week has been a very hectic week with 4 birthdays to attend. On Saturday was Rose, Missy & Damo’s drinks @ Red Spice Road. It was a good night as everyone was there and caught up with some people that I haven’t seen for ages.

The next morning I had to get up early to attend a 5 yrs old birthday. I was so tired by the time the party ended at noon. The theme of the birthday was “Princess & Fairies” and the parents of the birthday girl hired a Fairy entertainer to entertain the kids. I sat in with the kids during the Fairy show. Yes, I will not lie, I am a kid (size does not matter okay)
DJ overheard this 6 yr old boy in a spiderman outfit (not sure why he’s not dressed up for the theme  ) telling his mom that he wants a fairy for his next birthday. DJ was speechless… -_- . Boys are funny.

This weekend’s agenda will be Missy’s birthday dinner at Hwaro. Yay! can’t wait to have some kick arse kimchi and chuhi. Yum yum yum.

    Maedaya Sake & Grill

This little Japanese joint is a must visit if you ever happen to be around Richmond area. One of the many Japanese restaurants that I’ve been to that actually has an extensive variety of japanese dishes and drinks.

    Maedaya Dippin’ Mate!

At Maedaya, we were given free dipping sauces. Served with homemade crêpes we get to try out 5 different dipping sauces. A bigger serve of sauce will be given once the preferred sauce has been chosen to go with the meal.

Charcoal grilled skewers, starters, hot plate dishes and sake partner dishes. I personally liked the deep fried soft shell crab and the grilled wagyu steak :) .

    okonomiyaki.jpg

The mouth watering okonomiyaki is a must try. hungry.gif I give two-thumbs up!!

According to Sake master Toshi, Maedaya carries a huge varieties of sake; about 60 different types of sake from north to south Japan. Don’t forget to ask for recommendation from the sake master when you order your drinks ;)

    Leave approved | Destination: Tokyo

This time we are definitely going to Japan. YES FOR SURE
Finally, I get to parade my new 686 snowboard jacket and my 2 season old Bonfire pants in Hakuba

Words could not describe how I am feeling now. I am speechless. I sound very dramatic rite

Now how do I go about with the Japan visa application?

    A brand new year

This morning I had my financial/performance review with my brand manager and the managing director. The company was very happy with my work for the past 12 months.
I will be taking more responsibilities and was also given few new challenges to work for Yr08/09. I am so looking forward to it.

The bonus was bit better than last year and the lovely manager has approved my leave; meaning DJ and I are for sure going to JAPAN in Feb 2009!

I reckon today is a wonderful day despite the rain.

Will be having a tiny celebration @ Maedaya tonight. Woot wooot

    Happy Father’s Day

It’s Father’s Day today at the otherside of the world. I called Dii this morning to wish him Happy Father’s Day and he ask whether I’m back in KL -_-. I told him of cause not, I’m too broke to travel and he called me “crazy fella” if I were to give him another surprise visit… LOL

I’ve decided not to get the DC moonboots after having a very good look at it in the shop. It’s good to own a pair but I guess I will not get to wear it very often unless snowboarding is my full time job.

Instead something caught my eye that day when I was in the city last Thursday during my lunch break – The Yee-Ross Crumpler backpack.
    The Yee-Ross.jpg
How ironic huh from a pair of moonboots that I was dying to own since last year and within seconds I have changed my target to a backpack that I saw few days ago.

This prove how fickle minded I am and I get sidetracked very easily. --.gif.

Sex & The City The Movie | Carried Away

    SATC_1.jpg

I am so in love with this movie. So in love with the shoes, handbags (except for the LV bag that Carrie gave to her PA. One word – FUGLY) and the clothes. Absolutely love it love it love it…. I’m speechless…
When the movie started my eyes were all glued to the big screen and I think I hardly blinked at all.

From laughing to crying and back to laughing and more crying.

    SATC_3.jpg
    Carrie: “You’ve humiliated me!”
This scene was really heart breaking.

    SATC_4.jpg

Charlotte’s Zac Posen dress was absolutely divine. I didn’t really like Carrie’s wedding gown by Vivienwest Wood. A bit over the top.

I started crying when Steve told Miranda that he had cheat on her, Carrie whacked the hell out of BIG when he did not turned up on their wedding day, Charlotte telling BIG off, and Miranda & Steve got back together at Brooklyn Bridge.

Samantha’s scenes were funny most of the time except for the part she decided to leave her toyboy Smith.

    “Ever thine
    Ever mine
    Ever ours”
I heart NY… The city of LOVE.

Currently listening to SATC soundtrack and completely hooked on track no. 11 – Auld Lang Syne by Mairi Campbell and Dave Francis.

    PedicurePro FootSpa

    Footspa.jpg

I bought a Homedics foot bath unit using the Myer gift card that I got for my birthday. BIG thank you to Yauie, Eve & BurtonCyborg ;)

The foot bath unit comes with 5 pedicure attachments, Sensuous Sea Grass™ insert that provides stimulating surface to treat tired feet and massaging bubbles to pamper the feet. Me very likey likey…

Hands Up Who Wants A Free Snowboard – Part 3

    A New Beginning

DJ was ecstatic and dragged me up at 8 am on Saturday morning to collect his prize.

    Winner.jpg
    - Burton 151 Custom snowboard
    - Burton C02 bindings
    - Burton Coalition Sabbath Lounge boots

The selections and fitting took about 2 hours.

    Sabbath.jpg

I insisted on him getting the Sabbath Lounge boots, as the design was similar to the Chanel signature quilt.

He is now officially part of the Burton family and fully sponsored by Capital 17 ;)
