This little Japanese joint is a must visit if you ever happen to be around Richmond area. One of the many Japanese restaurants that I’ve been to that actually has an extensive variety of japanese dishes and drinks.

Maedaya Dippin’ Mate!
At Maedaya, we were given free dipping sauces. Served with homemade crêpes we get to try out 5 different dipping sauces. A bigger serve of sauce will be given once the preferred sauce has been chosen to go with the meal.

Charcoal grilled skewers, starters, hot plate dishes and sake partner dishes. I personally liked the deep fried soft shell crab and the grilled wagyu steak
.

The mouth watering okonomiyaki is a must try.
I give two-thumbs up!!
According to Sake master Toshi, Maedaya carries a huge varieties of sake; about 60 different types of sake from north to south Japan. Don’t forget to ask for recommendation from the sake master when you order your drinks
