    My new toy

After giving DJ 101 reasons on why I need a new camera, he finally gave me the “ok” nod.
    Hooray!fireball.gif
DJ is now the owner of my 3 year old Sony T33.
He calls it “the unwanted child”.

    I’m back on the wheels.

I am not feeling too well and its not very nice when I’m about to go for my holiday. I suspect I’m down with the flu… my body is achy and I have a very bad sore throat. I reckon it was from the Korean BBQ we had during Iriya’s birthday on last Thursday. The poor boy had to drink 29 shots of shoju with everyone. He was gone by the time I drop BurtonCyborg home. I had to pull over for Iriya to chuck. Yup, I’ve finally taken the courage to drive DJ’s car which is a manual. It has been 10 years since I last drove a manual car. I have proven to the boys that I can actually drive and I’m a very responsible driver.

Tonight we went over to DL’s pad to celebrate Merdeka Day. DJ’s fried vermicelli dish was a winner… Well he actually made sure everyone have a taste of it…hihihi…. Anyway since DJ was very confident about my driving, he drank like there is no tomorrow and he fell asleep during the journey home. I even parked the car like what DJ usually does – reverse parking. It actually took me 10 minutes to get the car straight but I’m sure eventually I’ll improve after a few practices.

We are going to watch the footy match tomorrow at Telstra Dome – St Kilda vs Essendon. I hope I’ll feel better by tomorrow.

    Happy 51st Merdeka Day Malaysia

    Air Asia: Visit Melbourne 2009

Next year will be a super busy year for me.

Thanks to Air Asia, Almost everyone from KL will be coming to Melbourne for holidays.
Why is whenever I decided not to travel back to KL and these ridiculous special airline deals will pop out from nowhere? -_-
“Air Asia giving out 1,000,000 free tickets.” Deng. Why doesn’t Virgin, Jetstar or Tiger Airways have these kinds of steal deals?

Anyway, I got Mii and Dii to come over for 3 weeks!! DJ and I are so looking forward for yummy home cook food when we come home from work.

Miss LK is coming again to Melbourne. Hooray!! This time Lynn and I will try to organize either weekend ski trip to Mt Buller, weekend getaway at Daylesford or maybe we could look out for cheap tickets to Christchurch.

My in-laws are still contemplating whether to come or not. I hope they make up their mind soon because the tickets are selling out like hot cakes.

I am rapt now because I have another alternative airline to travel back to KL. I rather fly with budget airlines than paying full price for lousy service. Yes MAS, you sux big time.

    I rather drive than drink…

Last Saturday was LK’s last day in Melbourne and we went to Yarra Valley for lunch and wine tasting. I volunteered to be the designated driver. Somehow my love for wine has died. I don’t find drinking wine interesting anymore except for giving me an instant black out if I have more than 2 glasses. Weird.

We managed to visit 6 wineries within 5 hours and had our lunch at Bella Verdere. DJ and Lynn were the alcoholic-shoppers of the day. Lynn even got a free loaf of sour dough from Innocent bystander on her big purchase.

Posing at Domaine Chandon – As you all know this was Lynn’s idea.

I had a really great time being able to drive around Yarra Valley and seeing everyone happily drinking away. Sometime it is fun to be sober.

LK, it was so nice to catch up with you. See you again in Bali!!

    So in love…

    with Korean series.

I was hook in watching Get Karl, Oh Soo Jung.
Beautiful romantic comedy series…absolutely love it.^^1.gif
The actor and actress were the perfect match in heaven. How I wish that in real life they were real couple?

Very sorry for my absence. Am currently suffering from drama-series withdrawal symptom.

Will be back blogging soon once I get my life back to normal. I went to bed at 9pm yesterday because I ran out of series/movies to watch..

    Bali trip coming soon.
I should start packing now so that I will not change my mind and start bringing unnecessary stuffs.

As we were driving to Smith St , we stumble across, well not really; we drove pass this lil japanese cafe couple of times but didn’t really get a chance to check it out until yesterday when we were waiting at the lights and decided to give it a try since there were available parking on the street plus the weather was pretty shit to do window shopping anyway.

The cafe has a laid back look. Furnished with furniture that you can only see in That 70s show and blues music was played in the background, the feeling is almost like lazying at home.

DJ ordered the onigiri set and I went for the bento set. The onigiris were made from brown rice instead of the normal japanese rice.
Very healthy indeed and the price was quite reasonable.

Be warned, this café is definitely not for attention seekers. It is so quiet that it almost felt like a library.

    Happy Birthday <3

An eventful day of the year. We celebrated Katsudon’s 21st birthday celebration “again” at Ibuki ; Tristan and Olivia tied the knot (Congratulations!!) and last but not least, the opening ceremony of 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.

Women in Black: Glittering & Glamourous…
Venue: Dinner @ Lemongrass, Lygon St & Karaoke @ FM Bar, Bourke St.

Everyone was screaming for FOOD after finishing 2 bottles of wine, 8 bottles of Korean plum wine & 2 bottles of beksoju shared among 7 lovely ladies at FM karaoke. We then adjourned to good ol’ Ling Nam for supper to fill our hungry tummy.

Girls night out are always fun!

    Love you all… ^^.gif mwah

Chop chop my hair & Shiseido QV

    I had a wonderful Saturday.
Woke up early to do yoga on the Wii Fit. I had a good 40 minutes work out. My Wii Fit age has gone down to 26 yrs old…Woo hoo.

DJ dropped me off in the city before he went off with the boys to Tristan’s bucks party. I on the other hand had my hair cut at Seri. My hair was starting to annoy the sh!t out of me. I even had my eyebrows waxed and got a manicure to kill time while waiting for HJ.

    DSC02539_haircut.jpg

After Seri, I roamed around the city to see what’s new in stores ; happily trying on shoes and clothes (I don’t get to do this very often when DJ is around) and finally decided to check out the Shiseido store in QV. This Shiseido shop has been open for about 2 years and I just found out that they actually sells Majolica Majorca, Maquillage and other japanese hair and body products. Awesome. I love Japanese eye shadows and mascaras. I am saved!!. I can now buy these make ups at the shop without DJ knowing (I usually (most of the time) use his credit card to do my online purchases :P )

Melbourne is not that bad after all.

    Free lunch

I was in a hurry this morning and I totally forgotten about my coin pouch that I then realized my weekly train ticket was in it as well. Damn it.
Therefore, I had to buy a daily ticket that cost me freaking $6.50. Not happy >.<
Anyway, as I was daydreaming while waiting for the train, I found two $2 gold coins on the ground. Ha! Am I lucky or what?
I end up using the $4 to buy my lunch at Coles that cost me $3.50 (2 slices of jalsberg cheese, 2 slices of chicken loaf, a can of tuna and a box of cup of soup)

I am so broke after the big night out on last Saturday. Two days to go until pay day… boo hoo… :(
